Where Does Green Stand With Georgia Tech?

Eagles Landing Christian Academy (GA) athlete Keyante Green was a recent visitor to the annual Georgia Tech-Georgia game. The 2013 recruit has friends on both teams and enjoyed watching them play. A new school is getting Green's attention. Keyante updated us on that school and his thoughts on Georgia Tech.

Keyante Green enjoyed the entire game day experience. "Their was a lot of energy in the air because it is a rivalry game and you could tell the players were ready to play Georgia." Keyante also had a chance to tour the campus and talk with a few of the players on his visit.

A few of those players are his friends. "I talked with Tyler Morgan and my teammates brother Anthony Williams." Green also had a chance to talk with Georgia Tech senior Stephen Sylvester. Both Green and Sylvester are from Henry County. "It was good talking with them and I had a lot of fun with all the players and recruits at the game."

Henry County defensive end Dalvin Tomlinson was one of those recruits. "I didn't get a chance to speak with him much but he was at my game Friday night so we had a chance to speak then."

The visit gave Green some additional information about Georgia Tech and he is looking to build that relationship. "I mainly talk with Coach (Joe) Speed from the staff and not many of the other coaches. Green feels that if the other coaches on the staff would show interest in him that his interest in Georgia Tech would improve.

"Coach Speed is doing a good job of staying in contact with me but I feel if I knew the staff really liked me and wanted me there it would increase my interests in Georgia Tech."

A new school has entered the picture in Greene's recruitment. "TCU and I talked and they are saying they are very interested in me and I really like what all the coaches had to say about me and their school." Green has not received an offer from them but an offer would make them his top school.

Green currently has Georgia as his top school. Green also likes what he sees from Georgia Tech. "They are up there but I'd like to see if they are really interested in me first."

With Junior Days approaching, Green is already getting requests from schools recruiting him. He has not made any commitments yet to attend any of them "The only thing I have planned right now is to go back to Georgia Tech for a combine." Following the combine, Green will begin concentrating on baseball.

Syracuse is one of the schools that he hopes to visit for their Junior Day. "I think I might try and go to one at Georgia Tech, we'll have to see if I can set it up." Green does not have plans to attend Georgia's Junior Day having attended theirs last year.
