Sutton Wants To Blast Off To Georgia Tech

2013 offensive lineman Mike Sutton has made the trip to Atlanta to check out the Georgia Tech campus and football program, and he's definitely hoping for an offer from the coaching staff.

Mike Sutton has visited a lot of schools as the process of finding a suitor gets underway, but one thing has attracted him to Georgia Tech – their aerospace engineering program. "I want to work for NASA one day," Sutton said, so that program at Tech would be a perfect fit.

Though he hasn't received an offer from the Yellow Jackets yet, Sutton continues to hear from the coaching staff and knows they are interested in him. Sutton hopes to attend a camp at Tech this summer.

The junior from Panther Creek (NC) High School came to town for the game against Clemson in the fall, and he was pleased with the opportunity to see all of the football facilities during the trip. "I loved the visit," Sutton said.

Despite being from out of state, Sutton said he has no issues with attending a school in another state in the Southeast.

"The way I see it, Georgia Tech is in the ACC, so there are a few games in North Carolina," Sutton said. "I want to be close to home, but that's close enough."

Now, Sutton will continue to prepare for his senior season as he waits for the offers to come in. Top Stories
