Sewak Hoping To Get Visit From Turner

Linebacker Gerald Turner has several schools vying for his services, but Georgia Tech is still a player in his search for the right school to attend in 2013. Coach Sewak is hoping to get Turner on campus to show him what Georgia Tech is like.

Georgia Tech offensive line coach, Mike Sewak has been keeping in touch with Gerald Turner, a junior out of Goose Creek (SC) High School. Turner paid a visit to Steve Spurrier and the University of South Carolina this weekend, but Georgia Tech fans will be interested to know Sewak has been pushing him to make a trip to Atlanta in two weeks for an unofficial visit to Georgia Tech.

"I'm probably going to visit on the 18th," Turner said.

While he has yet to receive an offer from Georgia Tech, Turner insists that the Yellow Jackets are still on his radar, and a pending visit to the campus would suggest they're still big players in his sweepstakes with a year to go until Signing Day.

"I like their defense – they had a good year," Turner said about the Yellow Jackets who would eventually become his teammates if he decides to sign with Georgia Tech.

Outside of what he saw on tv, Turner said he has a lot to learn about the program and the school. His last visit came last summer, and even that was an abbreviated trip to the Flats.

If Turner does finalize plans with Sewak to make a visit Feb. 18, he should get answers to all of the questions he has about the football team.

"Right now, I just want to make sure I get along with the coaches," Turner said.
