Dodd has received three offers within the past week and is happy with the way things are proceeding with his recruitment. "Georgia Tech, South Carolina, and Alabama all have offered me in the past week."
Andy's most recent visit was to Georgia Tech for their Junior Day. Dodd arrived earlier than most of the recruits in order to spend some time with Coach Paul Johnson. "During the talk I received an offer from him to play for Georgia Tech." That was Andy's favorite part of the visit.
"The visit made me realize the campus there was bigger than I thought." Dodd got to see the new indoor practice facility which he really liked. "Combine that with the campus being close to home, I'd say the visit was great."
Dodd has three schools that he likes right now. "Georgia Tech, South Carolina, and Alabama are all at the top for me. All three schools have something that Andy likes and they are all equal at this time.
The time to choose one of those three schools is nearing for Dodd. "I want to have a decision made by the time my high school starts spring practice and no later than the start of summer." Andy will attend at least one spring practice at each of the schools before he makes his decision. "I will probably make the spring game at Alabama. Also, I plan on going to summer camps at Georgia Tech and Alabama if I haven't already made a commitment."
Dodd had just spoken to Georgia Tech coach, Brian Bohannon before we talked to him. "We talked about how much they wanted me there and he was just was checking in on me."
One of Dodd's strengths as an offensive lineman is his run blocking. "I feel that even though I am athletic I could get better athletically and have better movement."
