Josh Harris Names Top Four

Georgia offensive lineman Josh Harris recently put the finishing touches on a successful junior season, which ended with his high school making the playoffs for the first time in numerous years.

A solid blocker in both the running and passing game, Josh Harris has been in contact with coaches from Kentucky, Georgia, Georgia Tech, UCF, Vanderbilt and Boston College, although he does not hold any offers at this time.

Harris attended Junior Day at the University of Georgia on January 28, and has plans to attend additional camps at Kentucky and Tennessee in the coming weeks. In between visits, Harris made a stop by the Georgia Tech campus to get a firsthand look at the Yellow Jacket program.

"We visited the campus and basically toured the whole football facilities," said Harris, describing his activities in Atlanta. "We just went around the whole campus and saw all that the school has to offer. Then we went back and saw the weight room and the locker room. It was really nice."

While on campus, Harris had a chance to talk to Georgia Tech coaches Lamar Owens and Mike Sewak, who made it clear that they would like to see more of his film before they make a decision on an offer. One way in which Harris could go about earning an offer would be to impress the coaching staff at a Georgia Tech summer camp.

"I might go up to their camp this summer. I went to their camp last year, but I'll have to see how everything works out after spring practice."

Harris has kept in steady contact with Coach Sewak since attending the Yellow Jacket's camp last summer and he is certain that will communication will continue into the future. That communication will be critical for Georgia Tech, as Harris grew up a hardcore fan of a different program.

"I was a fan of Tennessee growing up, so they have always been my favorite. It would be pretty tough to turn down an offer from them, but I've got to look and see where I fit in best. For right now, I would say my top four are Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia and Georgia Tech."

The Yellow Jackets are obviously in solid position as a member of Harris' current list of favorites, and it is likely that they will remain in solid shape, as location will play a big factor in his decision.

Harris hopes to have his decision out of the way prior to the start of his senior season, so all of the teams on his list will have to make a good impression on him in the upcoming months. Top Stories
