Marquez White to Attend GT's Junior Day

Dothan, Alabama) athlete, Marquez White plays cornerback and wide receiver for Northview High School. The 2013 recruit is receiving interest from schools in the ACC and SEC. Georgia Tech is one of those schools.

Georgia Tech defensive backs coach Charles Kelly expressed interest in Marquez White to his head coach. White also had a chance to talk to Coach Kelly. "He talked about how much he liked me as an athlete but liked me best as a cornerback."

White has been invited to Georgia Tech for their March Junior Day. "I've already made plans to attend and make the trip over to Georgia Tech."

"Coach Kelly sounds like a real good guy and we hit it off well when we talked on the phone." Marquez liked the fact that Coach Kelly was up front with him. "He told me that I needed to make a visit to campus and that an offer could be coming my way after the visit."

Alabama, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, and Kentucky are some of the other schools showing interest in White. White is looking for his first offer. "All the schools want to get me on campus for a visit and go from there." Marquez is looking to stat getting some offers once he begins taking some of the visits.

Marquez and his father were on their way to Talahassee for the Florida State- Duke basketball game when we talked to him. "We will go to the Florida State Junior Day after the game." Wilson was scheduled to visit Alabama last weekend but was unable to make the trip.

The 6'1"-170 White can play both receiver and cornerback. "I have good hands as a wide receiver and as a cornerback I come out of the break very well." He is looking to get better in run support and zone coverage. Top Stories
