Williams' Offers From All Over The Nation

Already having earned a four-star ranking from Scout.com, California quarterback Troy Williams will undoubtedly be one of the top prospects on the west coast for the class of 2013.

Troy Williams has already begun garnering attention from schools in all regions of the country. He currently holds offers from Arizona State, Bowling Green, Georgia Tech, Nevada, Ole Miss, SMU, UCLA and Washington, and he expects that more offers will be on the way in the near future.

With offers from so many different parts of the country, Williams says that the location of a school will not ultimately affect his decision. "No, not at all," Williams responded when asked if location would be a factor. "My biggest factors will be academics and how early I can get onto the field."

One of the top academic institutions to extend Williams an offer thus far is Georgia Tech, who offered the talented signal-caller within the last week. Williams has never visited the Georgia Tech campus in Atlanta, but says that he has a relatively extensive knowledge of the Yellow Jacket football program.

"I've seen them play. I used to watch them back play when they had Calvin Johnson too. It's a real interesting offense and it is real fun to run. I've called Coach (Buzz) Preston a few times and he talks about the offense, and he sounds like he's a real good guy."

Although the Yellow Jackets have yet to receive a visit from Williams, they should not feel left out, as he has not taken any unofficial visits thus far this offseason. However, with his intentions to enroll in college early, he knows that he is going to have to start touring college campuses soon in order to trim his list of schools.

"Everybody is even right now. I'll probably try to make a decision mid-season, so I'll try to get as many places as I can. I'll be traveling a lot with my 7-on-7 team, so I don't know how many places I'll be able to get to. I won't go to a school if I never visit the campus, so I need to narrow down my list to like a top five so I can schedule my visits and see where I feel most comfortable."
