Profile 2004 - Sean McVay (DB/QB)

Sean McVay will help lead Marist in another quest for the Georgia Dome this year. This time however, Marist and McVay plan on leaving the state Semi-Finals as winners after losing a hard fought game to Thomas County Central last year. Marist returns 17 starters from an 11-2 team, and they have to be considered one of the favorites in Class 4A.

McVay accounted for over 2,300 yards of offense and 23 touchdowns running the War Eagles' option attack.

"I threw for just over 1,000 yards, and I rushed for 1,100 yards," said McVay. "I'm being recruited to play option quarterback by schools like Rice, Air Force, and Georgia Southern. Other schools are recruiting me to play defensive back. I really don't care which position I play. I just want to play."

When it comes to favorite teams, McVay is wide open for the most part. He has been timed as low as 10.8 in 100 meters, and he ran a  4.5 forty and impressive 4.19 shuttle at the Nike Camp in Auburn.

"I'm looking at most of the ACC schools right now. I have an offer from Miami of Ohio, and I also like Duke, Georgia Tech, Georgia, and Rice if I decide to go as a quarterback."

First things first though, McVay and Marist will be a team to keep a close eye on in the race back to the Dome.
