Curry Prepares For Another Visit To The Flats

Cornerback Darius Curry has been a huge supporter of the way the Yellow Jackets have recruited him, and now he's excited to get to watch practice and see what tests he would go through on the Flats if he signs with Georgia Tech.

The Class of 2013 defender out of Flowery Branch (GA) High School visited GT in February for a weekend visit that included a chance to take part in a Junior Day event. During that trip, Darius Curry did not have a chance to see the current Yellow Jackets in action, but he will have the chance to do so this Friday.

"I'm really interested in Georgia Tech," Curry said, adding that he has been in frequent contact with coaches Kelly and Sewak since his last visit two months ago.

Having picked up several offers in the past months (he said he has added offers from Mississippi State, South Carolina, Auburn and Western Kentucky, among others), Curry has become a sought-after member of Flowery Branch's secondary as he prepares for his senior season. But due to Georgia Tech's "really good coaching staff," Curry said the Yellow Jackets have as good a chance as anyone to land him.

"I definitely want to get a good look at practice and just see how they run practice," he said. Curry plans to spend Friday with the football program, then he will head to South Carolina for the rest of the weekend.

Another advantage GT holds is that Curry has not visited every football program that has extended an offer, but he has visited Atlanta already, and this weekend could inch him even closer to becoming a Yellow Jacket. Top Stories
