Davis has taken unofficial visits to Auburn, Duke and Tennessee in the past, and was recently able to stop by Georgia Tech to get an up-close look at the Yellow Jacket's program. "It was pretty good," Davis said of his trip to Georgia Tech. "I learned a lot of things about the school that I didn't really know. I learned about the academics and how they run their system of football as well. We took a tour of the campus and I got to sit down and talk to the coaches a little bit."
Although he was not able to have a lengthy conversation with the Georgia Tech coaching staff on his visit, Davis says that he has established a solid relationship with the Yellow Jacket coaching staff. His primary recruiter is Coach Lamar Owens.
"We have a pretty good relationship. I call him every other week just to say what's up, and he gives me updates about what is going on at Tech." While Davis enjoyed his recent time spent in Atlanta, it was not quite enough to knock off the school that has taken the lead in his recruitment.
"My early favorite right now is Auburn. I just feel comfortable there, like it is a home. It is similar to my hometown. I really like what they have done there the last two years."
Davis will be back in Auburn this Saturday to take in the Tiger's Spring Game. He hopes to have his decision out of the way during the early stages of his senior season.
