Georgia Tech, Michigan State, North Carolina and Rutgers are the schools recruiting Robbins the hardest. "I have talked with Coach (Al) Groh and he emphasizes that he is sticking to the plan he has for me if I came to Georgia Tech." Coach Groh likes Robbins as an outside linebacker in his 3-4 scheme.
Robbins plays defensive end for Bishop McNamara but the move to outside linebacker would not be a major move for Kevin. "The plan Coach Groh has for me is almost the same except I will be standing up instead of having my hands on the ground. I like that idea very much."
Michigan State is another school that Robbins has recently visited. "I just got back from a visit there about two weeks ago. They want me a lot too but they want me as a defensive end." Kevin has also made multiple visits to Rutgers. "I like the school and they also want me as a defensive end." North Carolina is the lone school on the list of 4 that he hasn't visited. "I am hearing a lot from them." North Carolina also wants Robbins as a defensive end.
Robbins summer plans may include a visit to one of those 4 schools. Kevin would like to take another visit to Georgia Tech sometime this summer to see more of the school and the city of Atlanta. "I'll be honest. I like the city of Atlanta and that is another plus for Georgia Tech."
While he has 4 schools that are recruiting him the hardest, Kevin wants to keep his recruiting open. "I really want to keep everything open if I can and that is where I am at right now." Robbins hopes he can narrow his list sooner than later.
Kevin doesn't have a timetable for making his decision. If he gets into his season and hasn't made a decision, he'll likely take his official visits. "If one school stands out, I will visit that school and that school only and commit to them."
Robbins teammate Darius Commissiong committed to Georgia Tech. That may or may not also factor into his decision. "I can't let that influence my decision but if I choose Georgia Tech, it will be great to be teammates again, that's for sure."
