Richard was hosted on campus at Georgia Tech by receivers coach Buzz Preston. "He showed me all the athletic facilities." Richard got to see the weight, practice facility, and Bobby Dodd Stadium. Yeargin also learned about the academics and the history of the program. "I was very impressed."
In addition to talking with Coach Preston, Yeargin also had a chance to meet strength and conditioning coach John Sisk and defensive backs coach Charles Kelly. The coaches look for the 6'3"-205 Yeargin to play outside linebacker in Tech's 3-4 defensive scheme. "They were impressed with my size."
The 3-4 defensive scheme is one that Richard likes."The coaches showed Jeragin clips of the linebackers and showed him how they run the 3-4 defense. "It fits my style of play."
Yeargin has received offers from Clemson, Wake Forest, and Wisconsin following his spring practices. He has also taken a few visits in addition to Tech in hopes of receiving more offers. "I've been to Miami and Ohio State."
Richard will spend the remainder of the summer attending a few camps and working out. When he's taking his visits, Richard is looking at what the schools have to offer. "I'm looking for the vibe I get and how I relate to the coaching staffs as well as the academics."
Look for the possibility of Yeargin returning to Georgia Tech during the upcoming season. "I can't make any promises but I hope to get back up during the season." Yeargin is open-minded about the recruiting process and is not in a rush to make a decision. "I'm ready to embrace whatever comes my way."
