Darius Curry Talks Georgia Tech & Final Four

Flowery Branch, Georgia defensive back Darius Curry has narrowed his list of offers to four schools. Darius has decided when he'll select one of the four remaining schools.

"Oklahoma State, Georgia Tech, Tennessee, and Auburn are my final four." Darius will select one of those four schools before he begins his senior season at Flowery Branch.

One of the reasons for Darius' interest in Oklahoma State may not be that his brother plays football there. "If I decide to go there it will be because I think Oklahoma State is the best fit for me and not because my brother is there."

"I love the school, the program, and the coaches at Georgia Tech." Curry has a special fondness for Coach Charles Kelly. "He is very detailed and gets the very best out of his players." Curry likes the fact that Kelly has coached several players that are in the NFL. "I definitely want to go to a school and have a coach that is really good at getting the best out of you."

Tennessee was the first school to offer Curry and that has made an impression on him. "I have always been interested in them."

Auburn is the final school on Curry's list. "I like the program and think that Coach Van Gorder and Coach Martinez are good coaches."

Before he makes his decision, Curry has plans to visit a few more schools. "I will make visits to Oklahoma State and Tennessee before I make my decision." Darius let us know that the visits aren't because they lead. "I just want to see them one more time to clear some things up and to be sure about them." Curry is undecided about attending the July camp at Georgia Tech.

Defensive end Izaan Cross and linebacker Daniel Drummond are two former Flowery Branch players that attend Georgia Tech. Curry has talked to Drummond about Georgia Tech. "Daniel asked me about Flowery Branch and then he talked to me about how great it was at Georgia Tech and how much he loves it there." Curry was glad to hear that.
