Terry Googer worked with the quarterbacks in the afternoon session of the camp and with the receivers in the evening session. "It was a great experience and I feel I had a good camp. It was awesome to me to be honest."
Terry especially enjoyed working at the quarterback position. Googer has worked with the triple option at Woodward similar to the offense run by Georgia Tech. "I had accurate, crisp passes and I ran the ball well." Googer was throwing the ball so hard that the coaches asked him to back off a little.
Googer also enjoyed his time working with the receivers. "I was able to get open." One of the highlights for Terry was a double move that shook the defensive back and left him wide open. "I was told I did a good job running my routes."
His performances at the camp caught the eye of Georgia Tech head coach Paul Johnson as well as the other coaches. "Coach Johnson called me aside and extended an offer to me." Googer was excited to get the offer. "He told me that coming into the camp he had a feeling that I was going to be leaving with an offer."
Now that he has an offer from Georgia Tech, they are one of the schools that Terry will be showing a lot of interest. "If I had a top list of schools right now, Georgia Tech would be one of the schools at the top of that list. I really liked my time there today."
A trip to South Carolina on Monday is the only visit Googer has planned right now. He will be returning to Georgia Tech once the season begins. "I really want to get back to Atlanta and watch Georgia Tech play this year."
