Jordan Starnes Shows Georgia Tech His Skills

South Stanly High School (Norwood, NC)linebacker Jordan Starnes had a busy weekend visiting two schools. Starnes was at Georgia Tech on Friday for their camp and he stopped by Wake Forest on Saturday.

Jordan Starnes made the trip to Atlanta Friday and enjoyed taking part in the camp. Jordan felt he performed well at the camp. The camp was cut short by storms but Jordan had enough time to show what he could do. "The coaches said I did great in the one on ones."

Following the camp, Starnes had a chance to talk with a few of the Georgia Tech coaches about his performance. "They told me I was a good fit for them but right now they are only taking one linebacker." Coach Paul Johnson accepted that commit from linebacker Kevin Robbins.

"The coaches told me that I am being looked at if a spot comes open later on." Starnes knows that attrition is a possibility so he plans to keep in touch with Georgia Tech. "I like Tech a lot but I have to be realistic too and if a school offers that I feel as comfortable with as I do Tech, I will most likely commit to them." Still, Starnes is willing to listen and wait as long as he can before making a decision.

Starnes also made a visit to Wake Forest over the weekend. "We got a tour of the school and the Wake coaches told me that they are interested in me and would continue to recruit me. They like my style of play. We had a great time there."

Jordan is leaning towards staying in state but a school like Georgia Tech might change his mind. "It would be great to get a firm offer from the Yellow Jackets." Top Stories
