Rimmer Returning Georgia Tech's Interest

Boone High School (Orlando, Florida) post player Schuyler Rimmer has seen his recruitment take off this summer. His strong performance on the AAU circuit has drawn interest from schools around the country.

His successs this summer has found Schuyler Rimmer spending his free time on the phone talking recruiting. "My phone has really blown up with calls. It has been very busy for me on the recruiting trail."

Five schools in particular have shown Schuyler a lot of interest this summer. "Florida, USC, Stanford, Tennessee, and Georgia Tech have been recruiting me the hardest."

Rimmer has been in touch with most of the Georgia Tech coaches including head coach Brian Gregory. "I will be calling Coach Gregory tonight to talk with him."

Schuyler is returning the interest that Georgia Tech is giving him. "I know that Coach Gregory is working hard to bring Georgia Tech back to what they are accustomed to as in the national spotlight and I like what he is doing."

Most schools are recruitng Rimmer as a power forward or center. The 6'8" Rimmer is also getting some interest as a small forward. Rimmer has one position where he feels the most comfortable. "Personally I feel that power forward is my best position but if they are recruiting me as 4/5, I feel that is better than a 3/4."

Schuyler will be taking a close look at the rosters of the schools recruiting him. What Schuyler sees from the rosters will play a role in his college choice. "If they are loaded at my position, then I may look elsewhere." Rimmer will be looking for a school that has a good balance of players at each position.
