Georgia Tech is the new school in the picture for Austin Colbert. "They have really started recruiting me." Colbert received an offer from Georgia Tech head coach Brian Gregory and assistant coach Billy Schmidt.
The coaches like what they see from Colbert at the power forward position. "They are telling me they like the way I play the forward position and that they are looking for players with my skills to come in and play. They like that I am the type of player that is a good fit for Georgia Tech both on and off the court."
Austin's interest in Tech centers around their coaching staff. "Coach Gregory is a good coach that gets the best out of you and prepares you for the next level." Austin also is impressed with the improvement Tech has made in their facilities.
Colbert has been invited by the coaches to come to Atlanta for an official visit. "I plan on making a visit down there. I'll be able to see the new facilities they have down there when I make my visit."
The list of schools that will get official visits from Colbert is not set in stone but he does have a good idea which schools will get visits. "I think that Illinois, Memphis, Miami, and Vanderbilt will be ones along with Georgia Tech."
Colbert wants to take those visits first before he names a favorite or makes his college choice. "I plan on making my decision soon and sign during the early signing period in November."
