Georgia Tech Recruiting Top Back In Jersey

While Jamauri Bogan is only a junior heading into this season,he is considered to be the number one running back in the state of New Jersey. Jamauri currently holds five offers and there should be more on the way.

Jamauri Bogan was surprised to be recognized as the number one back in the state. "Not that I don't feel I am not a good running back but there are many others that are also very good.I am honored to be honest."

Jamauri is currently hearing from several schools in his area. "I am hearing from West Virginia, Rutgers, Pittsburgh, Temple, and UMass." There is also a school from the south that is recruiting Bogan. "Georgia Tech has stepped up their recruitment of me. I talked with Coach Speed on Facebook and we are starting to open up our communication."

The fact that Jamauri is involved with Georgia Tech is not a surprise. Bogan has family living in Early County, Georgia. "My grandfather is a big Georgia Tech fan and wants me to go there."

There is a good chance Bogan will be making a trip to Atlanta to visit Tech. November looks to be the month when Jamauri will make the trip. "I can visit my family and go see Tech play and take a look at the school."

Five schools have offered Bogan as he begins his senior season. "I have offers from Georgia Tech, Temple, UMass, Old Dominion, and Toledo." Bogan will be looking at fan support when he evaluates the schools recruiting him. Bogan is also looking for a school where his family can see him play.

The fact that Georgia Tech is not close to his current home will not hinder their recruitment of Bogan. "Like I mentioned, I have my grandfather and other family down there and my family has said if I did choose to go to Georgia Tech that we would move down there to be closer to the school and closer to my grandfather. He talks them up all the time."

It's still early in his recruitment but he feels that taking all five of his official visits is the best way to learn about a school. "You have 48 hours of undivided attention and you can see everything there is to see." Top Stories
