Durham has recently received over 300 letters from schools around the country. "I have many schools checking on me and saying they are very interested in my play and want to be a major player in my recruitment."
Both of Step's early offers come from ACC schools. "Right now I have two offers, one from Georgia Tech and one from North Carolina." Georgia Tech and North Carolina are recruiting Durham the hardest. They are looking at Durham as a field corner.
South Carolina is also beginning to up their recruitment of Durham. "I am also hearing from Florida State, Alabama, North Carolina State, Tennessee, Mississippi State, Florida, Georgia, Ohio State, and Arizona."
Step has attended 2 games thus far this season. "I went to the Miami-Georgia Tech game and the Savannah State-Florida State game. I had really good times at both games."
Durham has built a relationship with Georgia Tech Coach Lamar Owens. "I really like him a lot and he keeps me informed and stays in contact with me as much as he's allowed."
Playing time will be one of the main factors Step will use in making his decision. "I'd like to be able to get on the field as early as I can." Durham will also be looking for a school where there is a family setting among the players and coaches. "I want a DB coach that makes me a better player so I can have a shot at playing at the next level." Step will also be looking at how many players the defensive backs coach has sent to the pros.
There are no leaders for Durham at this time. He doesn't expect to name one until after his junior season or possibily the start of his senior season.
