Damon made the trip to Wisconsin to have something to compare to Tech. It was Damon's first college game day experience. "I had a good time and enjoyed the experience but I am still firm In my commitment to Georgia Tech." Damon let the Tech coaches know that following the Wisconsin visit.
Mitchell knows that both schools have great things to offer but one thing gave Tech the edge. "I feel the academics at Georgia Tech makes them the obvious choice for me. I love football but getting a good education is also very important to me."
Now that he's experienced game day at Wisconsin, Mitchell is looking forward to the experience at Georgia Tech. "I'd like to take my official to Georgia Tech on weekend they have a football game but if that doesn't work out that is okay. I'll just arrange it when I can."
Damon has been preparing for the rigors of college academics. "I am working hard in the classroom to get ready for college." His goal is to have the opportunity to enroll early at Tech.
Mitchell has informed the coaches at Tech that he is working torwards enrolling early. "I have to double up on an English course and another course." Damon already has the math and science courses that would allow him to graduate early.
The coaches are looking at Mitchell's transcripts to see if this would be best for Damon. "I have plans on being there for a January enrollment and hopefully being able go through spring practice." In the meantime, Damon will continue to work towards that goal.
