Cleveland happy with Georgia Tech

Hillgrove High School (GA) defensive back Tolando Cleveland gave his verbal commit to Georgia Tech in July. Since that time, there has been some schools that have tried to get in the picture with Cleveland.

Cleveland received a recent visit from Georgia Tech Coach Brian Bohannon. The visit went well for both parties. "I had some questions that needed some answers and he gave them to me along with the itinerary for my official visit this weekend."

The visit re-affirmed Cleveland's commitment to Georgia Tech. "I know I am 100% committed to the Yellow Jackets."

With Coach Al Groh no longer on the Georgia Tech staff, Cleveland had some concerns. "Coach Bohannon told me that this is like a business. Coaches come and go all the time." Cleveland knows that nothing is set in stone. "He made me realize that even if other coaches leave that my decision wouldn't be affected because Georgia Tech is the same school I made my commitment to back in July."

Tolando also has a clear picture of the position he'll be playing at Tech. "I was told I would be coming in as a field corner." The coaches like Cleveland's size and speed for that position. "Coach Kelly loves big players in the secondary."

Since his commitment to Tech Cleveland has become friends or has continued friendships with other members of the class. "I am good friends with Travis Custis, JuMichael Ramos, John Marvin, and Harrison Butker. Moreso with Travis and JuMichael. We are old friends." Tolando likes the idea of being able to come in with friends.

One of those friends will be with Cleveland on his official visit. "I know John Marvin will be there and I've heard some others might be there. I am really looking forward to my official visit." Top Stories
