Wilson made the trip with his dad. "Everyone treated my dad and I great. We had a lot of fun. "Donovan was able to gain more info about his future position (A Back)on the visit. "I watched how the A-Backs worked at practice. I am going to enjoy that position." Donovan likes the responsibility the A Backs have in making the offense tick.
After watching practice, Wilson toured the weight room and the other facilities. "The weight room is impressive." Wilson also spent time with his future roommates Chaz Cheeks, Demond Smith, and Chris Milton.
Donovan was the only recruit visiting this weekend and he was able to receive a lot of one-on-one attention. "I'd rather have had other recruits in with me but the time there was great."
Wilson spent most of his time with Coach Dave Walkosky and Coach Lamar Owens. "Coach Owens talked to me about he wants me to work on before I get to Georgia Tech." Wilson will be working on his footwork, his catching ability out of the backfield, blocking and ball security.
It was a foregone conclusion before the visit that Wilson was a solid commit. The visit reinforced it even more. "This was icing on the cake. This locked my decision down for sure."
Donovan has been living with friends in Ohio while his family has been in Austin, Texas. "My family loves the fact I will be at Georgia Tech and in Atlanta. It is good for all of us in my opinion."
Registration and the start of classes on January 7th are next up for Wilson. "The first Wednesday in February I will sign my LOI."
