Elijah has been receiving quite a few offers and he also received some visits during the recent 2 day contact period. One of those schools visiting Charlotte Catholic was Georgia Tech.

Georgia Tech and Coach Dave Walkosky have been showing a lot of interest in Hood. Elijah has learned about the school and the daily routine the players go through at Tech. "We have talked about the program and the direction every one feels Georgia Tech is headed which is very positive." Hood has also learned about the academic side of things at Tech.

Hood has plans to take visit Atlanta and Georgia Tech this month. "Right now I have plans to visit them January 20th. Coach Walkowsky definitely wants me to come in for the visit."

Georgia Tech's spread option is an offense that Hood feels would be a good fit. "I like it. We run the Wing T in high school and we have three backs in the backfield so I am used to it. It is a plus for Georgia Tech." Georgia Tech is recruiting Hood as B-Back.

There are other schools that Elijah also has in mind for visits. "I will be visiting North Carolina, Notre Dame, Clemson, and Ohio State either for Junior Days, spring practice, or for a basketball game."

Elijah's planned visits are a good indication of which schools he favors. "North Carolina, Notre Dame, Georgia Tech, Clemson, and Ohio State are my top five."

Hood is looking for a school where he can be an impact player and contribute early. "I want to help my team win as early as I can." Elijah is also looking to stay as close to home as possible.

Look for Elijah to make his college choice before the start of his senior season. "I want to be able to enjoy my last year and concentrate on my senior year of football."
