Abraham Makes First Visit to Georgia Tech

East Lake High School (FL) safety Devin Abraham made a recent trip to Atlanta to visit Georgia Tech. Even though he had previously lived in the Atlanta area, the trip was his first to the Tech campus.

Abraham's recruiting is slowly progressing to where schools are beginning to visit him to show their interest. "In the past few weeks, schools like South Florida, Central Florida, Notre Dame, Miami, Boston College, and Duke all have come by to talk to me or my coach."

Devin made the trip to the Tech campus last Friday. "The visit was great. I was born in Stone Mountain, Georgia but I have never been to the campus." The campus was vastly different than what Devin expected it to be.

Abraham especially enjoyed the view from the stadium. "The campus setting was much better than I thought it would be." Devin also liked getting the chance to talk to the players.

Devin learned about the educational opportunities at Tech during his visit. "This is a factor I will use to decide on a school. Academics comes first and then football second."

Georgia Tech Coach Brian Bohannon and Devin had a chance to get together on the trip. "He wanted me to come up and see the school and get a feel for the city.

Tech will be looking at Abraham to play all of the secondary positions. "I have played safety all my life but I can slide over and play corner." Devin is not opposed to trying the other positions.

While Abraham didn't receive an offer on the visit, he knows that Tech will be monitoring him and getting more film on him. "I will use my senior year as a recruiting tool and decide after the season so that will work for me."

Devin also has a few other visits planned. "I will be going to Vanderbilt and Tennessee next month and after that I will take it month by month."

Abraham doesn't have a favorites list at this time but he does know one school that he likes. "I know that from the visit to Georgia Tech that they will definitely be on my top schools list when I do make one."
