Artis enjoyed watching the game with some of the top recruits in Georgia. He also had a chance to talk to the Georgia Tech coaches. "I loved the facilities there especially the players lounge and indoor practice facility."

On the visit, Artis spent some time talking with Coach Paul Johnson, Coach Brian Bohannon, and new defensive coordinator Ted Roof. "Coach Bohannon is my recruiting coach."

Allen talked to Coach Roof about how he would fit into his plans for the defense. Artis liked what he heard from Coach Roof. "He told me he liked how I play and he told me that they have me high on their board. It was good to know that I am in their plans."

The academics at Tech along with the football program both stand out to Allen. "I love what Georgia Tech represents academically and has to offer. I think they have a great team that will do big things in the ACC next season."

Ohio State is the latest school to visit Artis. "They came by and talked to my head coach." Mississippi State, North Carolina, Wake Forest, Maryland, and UCF are some of the schools that Allen plans to visit.

Look for Artis to make a return visit to Georgia Tech in the spring. Spring practices or their spring game are likely possibilities for visits. "It is very likely that I will do one or the other. I really enjoyed my time at Georgia Tech." Top Stories
