GT Offer Makes it Seven for Allen

Marcus Allen is emerging as one the top defensive backs in the 2014 class. The talented safety from Upper Malboro, Maryland recently received a new offer and made a Junior Day visit.

Allen is happy with the way his recruitment is going. The most recent offer for Allen comes from Georgia Tech. He also attended the Junior Day at Pittsburgh. "I had a chance to talk to the coaches and tour the campus." Marcus also attended the Pitt basketball game against Syracuse. "It was a good visit."

The offer from Tech was number 7 for Allen. "My coach said that Coach (Joe) Speed talked to him and extended me an offer." Tech is recruiting Allen at free safety with the option of moving him to corner. "At 6' 2" and 190 pounds, I feel I can handle myself at either spot equally well."

Allen is somewhat familiar with the Georgia Tech campus. "I made a short trip over there this past year." Allen played in a 7 on 7 tournament in Atlanta and visited Georgia Tech to looked around. "I was impressed by what I saw in the short time we were there. They have very nice facilities."

A return trip to Tech is a strong possibility for Allen. "Georgia Tech is a school I will consider during my recruiting process."

Marcus hasn't decided when he'll be making his college choice. "When I make a decision, I am going to stick to it and not waiver so I will be takin my time." Marcus wants to take as many visits as possible before his senior season. As for naming any favorites Marcus said, "It is way to early to start naming favorites."

When it comes time to make his decision, Marcus will be looking at playing time, The quality of the education at each school, and his relationship with the coaches. Top Stories
