The decision was one that Travis has been thinking about for some time. "I've developed a great relationship with Coach (Brian) Gregory and Coach (Billy) Schmidt. I loved my official visit and I think Georgia Tech is a great program and I'm happy to be a part of it."

Being able to make his college choice has given Travis a sense of relief. "It definitely is a relief and I took my time to make sure I made the right decision." Travis will now focus on the remainder of his season as he and his teammates hope to go far into the playoffs. Jorgenson's official visit to Tech helped him to reach the decision that he made today. "I thought the campus was great and I enjoyed watching the team play." Travis also got to meet the players on his visit. "They are all great guys."

The new McCamish Pavilion on Tech's campus was another factor Jorgenson's decision. "I thought it was really cool. I had a great feeling walking in there and walking on the court." The total experience convinced Travis that Tech was the right choice.

Being able to join a group of young players is something that appeals to Travis. Travis talked to the coaches a lot about the makeup of the team. "They have a lot of good freshmen and a lot of guys coming back. It's exciting to come in and hopefully help them win."

Georgia Tech will be losing their senior guards Mfon Udofia and Pierre Jordan. This was another factor in his decision. "Hopefully I can come in and help Solomon (Poole) and the other guards as a freshman." Coach Brian Gregory and staff will be counting on Travis to contribute at the point position when he begins his freshmen season. Top Stories
