Madaras Re-Evaluating His List

It's still early in his recruitment but Good Counsel offensive lineman Sam Madaras has already begun to re-evaluate the schools recruiting him. One of the schools on his original top five is no longer on new list.

Profile - Sam Madaras

Madaras has a new top five list that includes Georgia Tech, Boston College, Pittsburgh, North Carolina State, and Rutgers. "I have dropped Penn State from the list and replaced them with them with Boston College." Penn State has limited scholarships and told Sam that they were only taking one offensive tackle this year.

This came as surprising news to Madaras because he plays center and guard and not tackle. As a result, he is no longer considering Penn State. "I understand how recruiting works but it was tough as I did like Penn State growing up. I still have five great schools on my top five list."

Madaras has already visited some of the schools on his list. "I have already been to North Carolina State and it was a great visit." Sam was happy with the way he was treated there and enjoyed seeing the North Carolina State campus.

Sam also has plans to visit Boston College and Rutgers. "I also plan on going back to Georgia Tech and North Carolina State for another visit." Sam is looking forward to getting a closer look at all the schools that are on his list. Top Stories
