Scott is not ready to name any favorites from that list of 18 offers. "I want to give all schools a chance to show me what they have. I am wide open at this time."
As he takes a look at each school, Derrell is looking for a school that can get him on the field the quickest. "I want a school that has success in getting players to the next level and also has a great academic reputation and excellence just in case of injury." Derrell is also looking for a school where he can feel comfortable with the coaches, players and students.
Georgia Tech is one of the schools that is getting a close look from Scott. "They want me as an A-Back and their offense fits me well." Scott likes the fact that he'd be able to get a lot of touches either running the ball or catching the ball in the Georgia Tech offense.
Scott does not have any visits planned and is not in a rush to take any visits. "I plan on taking my time looking at everything and then go from there." Derrell is intent on giving every school a fair chance.
Whichever school gets Scott, will get a back that can run between the tackles or is capable of breaking it outside. "I can break tackles and I have an explosiveness off the line."
Before he gets to college, Derrell is looking to improve all facets of his game. "I don't want to get complacent. I want to get better."
