The two latest offers come from ACC schools Georgia Tech and Florida State. Georgia Tech Coach Lamar Owens extended the offer to Allen last week. "He was great to talk to and I was glad to get the offer."
Allen was told that the Tech coaches liked what they saw from his film. "They want me as an offensive guard and they like the way I block." The Tech coaches feel that Allen would be a great addition to their offensive line.
Coach Owens invited Allen to visit Atlanta in the spring for one of the spring practices or for their spring game. "I want to get up to Atlanta and do just that."
Josh has also talked to Coach Jeremy Pruitt at Florida State. "He wants me on their offensive line and wants me to come down in March for a visit." Allen hopes to be able to make that visit.
Three schools came to mind when Josh was asked which schools are recruiting him the hardest. "I'd have to say North Carolina, Georgia Tech, and Georgia are recruiting me the hardest." If he had to name a top five, the schools on Allens top five would be Florida State, Georgia Tech, Georgia, North Carolina, and Oregon.
Allen is looking to make his college decision near the end of the upcoming summer or right before his senior season starts. He is looking for a solid program and coaching staff and a school that will prepare him for life after football. "I want a valuable degree."
