Sawyers spent time on the trip with Coach Paul Johnson, his recruiting Coach Andy McCollum, and defensive line Coach Mike Pelton. "Coach Johnson talked to me about playing offensive. I told him I'd prefer playing on defense and he said that was great and he'd love to have me line up on defense."
Coach Pelton talked to Sawyers about the development of the current players at Tech. "He said he would love to make an impact player out of me."
Coach McCollum and Sawyers talked about school, football, and they toured the campus together. "It was a great visit. I'd give it a 10 as far as visits go."
The visit put Tech near the top of Sawyer's list. Sawyers has visited numerous schools and the visit to Tech was one that stood out to him. "They have a good civil engineering major and a good business school and I will probably major in one of those two areas in college."
Michael was invited back to Tech, for the spring game, by Coach Johnson. Sawyers will be working on making that possible. "I will have to get with my mom and see what her schedule looks like before I can commit to making any visits that far out."
Sawyers will continue to take visits through the spring. He'll be at Vanderbilt March 23rd and Ole Miss April 6th. "Auburn has asked me to come to one of their spring practices and I'd like to get over to North Carolina State to see them."
A date to make his college choice is something that Michael has not thought about. "Right now my teammates and I have a goal of winning the state championship. I will be concentrating on accomplishing that goal." Michael will most likely make his college choice after taking all five of his official visits.
