Besides having the chance to watch the team practice, Allen also had a chance to talk to the Tech coaches. "It was a great visit."

The Saturday morning practice was described as intense. "They were in pads and hitting for the first time today. They went after it and you could hear the popping out there."

The Tech coaches let Artis know that he was a priority for them at the safety position and they let him know how much they want him at Tech. "Coach Roof told me that I could come in and have an excellent chance at competing for the starting safety job."

Although Artis is still wide open, Tech is one of the schools that he is considering. "I could see myself attending and playing at Georgia Tech. I like them a lot."

Allen has plans to return for more practices and possibly the spring game. "It is real close and I like them a lot so it is natural to go over there to check out the practices."

The next visit for Allen will be to Wake Forest. "I know I'm going to Wake Forest for a visit and I plan on visiting a few more schools but I haven't decided which ones just yet."

Nothing has changed on when Allen will make his college choice. "I want to go through the process and see what schools will offer and make the right decision the first time." Top Stories
