John Curtis High School (LA) is loaded with Division I talent. One of those players is three star defensive back Mattrell McGraw. McGraw has 30 offers and more could be on the way this spring and summer.

"I am very blessed to have this many." McGraw hopes that the number of offers continues to grow as the recruiting process continues.

That process will continue this weekend when Mattrell travels to Memphis for a combine. "It is a great camp that a lot top athletes attend and I am really fortunate to be there."

Following the camp, McGraw will be traveling to the west coast for visits to Oregon and UCLA. "In May, I hope to make visits to Georgia Tech, Texas, USC, and maybe Oregon again if I am out there on visits to UCLA and USC."

McGraw has continued to stay in touch with Georgia Tech and Coach Ted Roof. "Georgia Tech is place I really want to go visit and see. I know it is a beautiful campus." Mattrell likes that the Tech campus is located in the city of Atlanta.

"I talk to Coach Roof and he says he wants me up there to Georgia Tech and they have a lot to offer me as a player and a student." Coach Roof has let McGraw know that he would be a big addition to the team. McGraw has told Coach Roof that he has plans to visit and is looking forward to the visit.

Making his college choice could come at anytime for Mattrell. "It could be this summer, the middle of my season, or on signing day." Mattrell knows that it will take more than one visit before he chooses a school.

"I feel by this summer I will have a good idea of which teams will be in my top five or even a top four." Mattrell may then trim that list to two or three schools during his senior season. "I would go from there and make a decision after a few more visits." Top Stories
