During the off-season, Young and his teammates have been taking part in conditioning and training to get ready for spring practice. "We have a lot going for us and we want to go out on top in our senior year."
At this stage in his recruitment, Kenny has over 20 offers. "It seems more schools are recruiting me and more teams are on the verge of offering me a scholarship." Young doesn't have a favorite at this time. "I want to wait until close to signing day before I make a choice so I will keep an open mind about all schools."
When we last talked to Kenny he and his teammates were planning a trip to Georgia Tech. The trip is still in the works for them. "It will probably be in the summer before we do it."
Young continues to stay in touch with Georgia Tech defensive coordinator Ted Roof. "I talked to Coach Roof Tuesday morning." Young and Roof did a lot of catching up when they talked. "He said he really wants me at Georgia Tech and that I have the talent to make the Jackets a great team."
Kenny was made aware of what Tech could offer him as an athlete and a student. "I like what he has to say when we talk. They will be a school that I will definitely consider heavily as my recruiting process goes along."
Right now, Young has no other visits planned. "I am playing it by ear as to where I want to go and what places I'd like to see." LSU has been the only school that Young has visited thus far. "That's because they are close by and an easy visit to make."
