The four star recruit has received three new offers from Louisville, Kentucky, and Nebraska. Georgia Tech is another school that has offered Cage. "They are a team I am very interested in getting to know better. They are a great academic school and play in a very good conference." Tech will make Cage's list of schools that he will show serious interest.
The visit to Atlanta and Georgia Tech will likely be this summer. "Coach (Dave) Walkosky wants me to come down and get to know the staff, the school, and the team better." Coach Walkosky feels Cage would be a good fit for Tech. "They are very high on me."
Most schools are looking at the 6'2"-295 as a defensive tackle. Cage doesn't have a preference as to whether he plays in a 4-3 or 3-4 defensive scheme. "At my high school, we play a lot of both depending on the team we play or the situation we are in at the time."
Daniel's explosion off the ball is one of the traits that has earned him his current ranking. "My first step is very good and I can get a hand up on my opponent." Daniel has been using the off season to get better at using his hands.
Daniel is going to wait until after his senior season before he makes his college choice. "I will wait it out and see which teams are a good fit for me."
As he goes through the recruiting process, Daniel will be looking for a school that will help him get a degree. Location will also be a factor. "I want to get far enough away from home to have some freedom but still close enough to be able to come home if needed."
