Choice Making Plans for GT Visit

Thomas County Central High School (GA) athlete Adam Choice is receiving interest from schools for both football and baseball. Will he play both sports in college and will his relatives influence his decision are two questions of interest surrounding his recruitment.

Profile - Adam Choice

Running backs Joe Burns and Tashard Choice both made names for themselves at Georgia Tech and then in the pros. Adam has the talent to do the same but it is possible that he might not follow in their footsteps.

"I am truly blessed to be in the position I am. Not many young men have this opportunity and I am going to make sure I handle it right and make the best choice for me in picking a college."

Adam has shown early interest in Georgia but the numbers game may preclude him from playing running back there. "I know they have gotten verbals from a couple of great backs. To be honest, they haven't talked to me about a particular position they want me to play." Georgia is still in the picture but Adam is also open to other schools.

Auburn and Clemson are two other schools that have Adam's attention. "I just got back from a visit to Clemson which went very well. I enjoyed the trip to Clemson."

Tashard and Adam talk often about recruiting. "I look up to him a lot to be honest." In spite of playing at Tech, Tashard has not tried to influence Adam's decision. "He is just giving me guidance on how the process works and what to expect. He will support me no matter what school I decide on and you have to love him for that."

"Georgia Tech is a school I do have interest in for college." Adam hasn't talked much about them because he has yet to visit. That will change and change very soon. "I plan on going up to Atlanta to see the school, talk to the coaches, and see how well I get along with the players." Choice is good friends with current player Fred Holton and incoming freshman Paul Davis.

Adam is not ready to name his top schools but he does know that a good visit to Tech would put them on his list. "No school is in a position to be called favorites. I want to visit Georgia Tech and see for myself what the school is all about and how the coaches are."

Playing both sports in college is still an option for Adam. "If a school says that I can play both it will not give them an edge over others." Adam likes both sports equally but right now he is just concentrating on his football recruitment.

Choice is in no rush to make a decision. "My decision could come before my senior season starts, during the season, or on signing day." When he finds the school that is the best fit, he'll make his decision. Top Stories
