"Georgia Tech offered me today. It was great getting the offer." Griffin also has offers from North Carolina, UCLA, Missouri, Georgia, Ohio State, Pittsburgh, and Louisville in that order. Taj also feels that Ole Miss and South Carolina could be close to offering. "I am very fortunate to get so many offers this early in recruitment and I'm glad that Georgia Tech is one of them."
Taj received the offer from Tech linebacker Coach Andy McCollum. Coach McCollum had taken over Griffin's recruitment when Coach Brian Bohannon was hired at Kennesaw State. "Coach McCollum said that he was officially extending me an offer." The Tech staff feels that Griffin would be a excellent addition to their offense.
Taj's brother Ty will be heading to Tech this summer for his freshman season. Will this influence Taj's decision? "Ty will give me all the info I need about Georgia Tech. I'm sure he will want me there and he will recruit me."
Griffin knows that wherever he ends up it will be at the school that he feels is a good fit. "My parents knew that Georgia Tech was the best place for Ty and they waited out the process until Tech offered." Taj will also sit down with his parents and decide which school is best for him.
The depth chart will be getting Taj's attention when he is looking at schools. "I want to play right away whether it's at running back or on special teams like a punt returner or kick returner."
Tech is recruiting Taj to play the A Back position. "I am fast and shifty and have good pass catching abilities out of the backfield." Taj also feels he can be a feature back and take the hits at the B Back position.
Taj has a list of schools that he hopes to visit this summer. "I hope to visit or camp at North Carolina, Ohio State, Georgia, Auburn, Ole Miss, and UCLA."
Georgia Tech will also be a school that Taj will be visiting. "I think my visits to Tech will be to game days and visits to see Ty." Taj hopes to learn about Tech on those visits. "I could also see a visit to them in the summer."
