Brown received the Tech offer from Coach Ted Roof. "It was an offer I was really hoping to get. "Coach Roof is a cool guy and we get along great." Coach Mike Sewak originally recruited Brown and now Coach Roof has taken over Brown's recruitment. "It's good to have two coaches that you know really well."
Coach Roof let Nate know that they were looking for a big physical receiver similar to Demaryius Thomas and Stephen Hill. "Coach Roof is from this area and knows what it is like to be at Georgia Tech and he tells me that I am the type of student-athlete that Georgia Tech really wants."
Nate will not be attending Tech's big recruiting weekend. "I have been to Georgia Tech five times and I know the school and the coaches well. All the coaches are very cool and I have a lot of information on Georgia Tech."
Brown is getting ready to start taking some visits. "Next week I will going to Missouri, Kentucky, and Louisville." Nate also has plans to attend Stanford's Junior Day and camp. Nate doesn't have offers from any of the four schools and hopes to get offers on the visits.
Illinois, Minnesota, and Indiana are three schools that are recruiting Nate hard. Vanderbilt was the first school to offer Nate but he feels they are not recruiting him as hard as the others. "I am interested in them and once they know that I am sure they will step up their recruitment of me."
Nate plans to make his college choice before the start of his senior season. "If that doesn't happen, I will probably make two quick official visits to schools and then decide right after the season ends."
