Lewis had a busy summer attending camps and taking unofficial visits. He and his teammates are now preparing to make a run at the state championship. "My recruiting is coming along great."
Georgia Tech is one of the schools showing early interest in Lewis. Jaason has kept in touch with their coaches by calling every now and then. Lewis has primarily talked to Coach Joe Speed. "They tell me they're interested in me and that they would not only love me to visit but when it comes time to me decide on a school that they would want it to be Georgia Tech."
"There is a lot of interest for me in Georgia Tech." Distance won't be a factor for Jaason in making his decision. "If I decided on Tech, my mom is moving down to the Atlanta area because we have family down there."
Jaason is looking to visit Tech once their season begins. "I will probably attend a few games this year. I know I will be going down early on to a Saturday night game." Lewis will also be touring the campus and spending some time with the players.
There will be several position options for the 6'3" and 234 pound recruit if he were to attend Georgia Tech. "The coaches have several ideas for me. I could be a wide receiver, a flanker/slot back type player coming out of the backfield, or they have even mentioned to me about playing strong safety." Jaason doesn't have a position preference. "When I get to college, helping my team win is the main thing, not what position I would play."
