Profile - Andrew Marshall West Forsyth High School (GA) center Andrew Marshall picked up offer number thirteen earlier this week. Georgia Tech Coach Bryan Cook extended the offer to Marshall on Monday.

Coach Cook let Andrew know that he and the rest of the staff wanted him to be a part of the 2014 class. "I know All-ACC center Jay Finch is graduating this year." Center is a position Marshall could play if he signed with Tech. "Coach Cook and Coach Sewak let me know that they really like me at center but with my frame and height I could play some guard or even tackle." Marshall has no preference for the position he plays.

When asked about a time table to picking a school, Andrew replied, "I don't have a set date as to when I want to have my choice made, however I'd like for it to be sooner than later."

When Tech hired Coach Cook, he was given Andrew's recruiting area. "I have a lot of respect for him. He is a high energy guy and knows a lot about football."

The offer puts Georgia Tech in good shape with Marshall. "It definitely puts them up at the top as one of my favorites." Marshall likes that Tech has the three things he's looking for in a program. "They have great academics, a great football team and tradition, and they are close to home." Those things will be important to Andrew in making his college choice.

Marshall will be getting a closer look at Tech when he visits next Wednesday morning. "I was thinking about visiting on game day but I wanted to be able to spend more time with the coaches so we decided that Wednesday would be better than game day. I still plan on making a game day visit though."

There are also four other schools that are getting interest from Marshall. "Right now I am looking at schools like Duke and Wake Forest a lot. I have visits planned for game days at Auburn, Georgia, and Wake Forest as well."

When asked about if he a time frame for a decision, Marshall replied, "I don't have a time frame or a particular date that I want to have a decision made by but to be honest I rather have it done sooner than later." Marshall wants to be able to concentrate on his season at West Forsyth.
