McGirt spoke to the Duke coaches following the game and was told they are interested in him. "They will be in contact with me about future plans." McGirt also went over to the Tech bus to see Coach Paul Johnson, Coach Mike Sewak, and Coach Bryan Cook. "I also got a chance to catch up with Vad Lee. It was good to talk with him."
Georgia Tech has yet to offer McGirt but he feels one could be coming. "They told me to keep working hard. Coach Johnson likes my play a lot. McGirt will continue to send game film to Tech.
The next visit for McGirt will be to the Clemson-North Carolina State game this Thursday. "I am also setting up visits to both Georgia Tech and North Carolina." McGirt wants to be at a game for each of the three schools in order to make comparisons.
McGirt has an offer from North Carolina State and has a list of three other schools that are recruiting him hard. "Georgia Tech, North Carolina, and Duke are the main three really turning up their recruitment of me."
Staying at home to play his college ball is possible but he could also see himself playing for Georgia Tech. "One thing I can say is that it is safe to say that I will be staying in the ACC."
Pass block is McGirt's strength as an offensive lineman. "Coaches like Coach Johnson will be evluating my run blocking."
McGirt is currently 6'5"-255. "I have two more years of growing to do so coaches feel that tackle will be my best position on the line."
