2015 Tyrone (GA) Sandy Creek running back Eric Swinney is a top 20 running back in the country for his class. He currently holds 14 offers.
Some of the schools that have extended a scholarship to Swinney include Arkansas, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Ole Miss, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia Tech. The latest school to offer was Georgia Tech.
Swinney was excited to know that the Yellow Jackets wanted to be involved with his recruitment.
"It was great to know that they wanted to offer," he said. "They are an in-state school and you always want the attention from them. It's great to have an offer from a big school. Georgia Tech is in the ACC and they're having a strong season."
The four-star running back spoke about what he liked early on about the Yellow Jackets.
"They are close to home," Swinney stated. "Distance isn't a big factor but it's something that is there. They run the ball a lot which is beneficial for me. Those are really good things that I like and pay attention to."
The Sandy Creek star admitted that he had yet to visit Georgia Tech yet but plans to do so when he has more time on his hands.
"The coaches really want me to visit," Swinney noted. "The Georgia Tech coaches are all great guys. They're great to talk to. They tell me I'm a great fit for their offense and that running backs really thrive there."
