GT High on Randall's List

Woodland Hills (Pittsburgh, PA) athlete Harry Randall helped lead his team to the WPIAL playoffs this season by playing multiple positions. We spoke to Woodland Hills Coach Novak about the 2014 recruit's season and his recruitment.

Profile - Harry Randall

Randall played quarterback most of the season but can also play running back, wide receiver, and safety. "For college, he is being recruited to play safety", said Novak.

Georgia Tech is one of the schools that is showing a lot of attention to Randall. "They want Harry to come down for a visit." Randall may make the trip the same time as teammate Trevon Mathis. Novak will be talking to Tech about the possible visit. "Harry lives with his mom and I help out with his recruitment; giving him advice, helping setting up visits, and just talking over colleges to see what is best for him."

Novak sees Georgia Tech and West Virginia as the two leaders for Randall. "That could possibly change too when he goes to visit Georgia Tech." Novak feels it would be a good thing for Randall and Mathis to visit Tech together to see how it would be like for them at Tech together.

Harry will be taking the SAT and once he get his scores back he an Novak will talk about his options and what school he feels is best for him. "I do know that Georgia Tech is very high on his list. He likes them ."

There is one word Novak uses to describe Randall - tough. "He's a very hard hitter and he has taken some shots this year at quarterback and got back up and played on like it wasn't anything bad." Novak feels that Harry has mental toughness and great character. "You will not have any troubles out of him."

Don't look for an early decision from Randall. "He wants to make sure he looks at all his options and ends up at the school he likes best." Top Stories
