Darius felt like home on the trip. " Being from Washington D.C. it really felt like home big time. I liked the area and the campus very much."
Even though Georgia Tech lost the game, Fullwood was very impressed with the energy and play of the Georgia Tech team. "The atmosphere was great and the crowd was into it big-time for the Yellow Jackets. I can really see myself playing there at Georgia Tech. I like them that much."
Following the game, Fullwood and his family stayed in Atlanta through Monday. They toured the school and got to see the football facilities. "I want to major in business and we went over to the business school and talked with the academics people." The ranking of the business school was eye opening to Darius.
"We also toured the facilities and I really liked the CRC building and the new indoor football facility. Following the tour, Darius and his parents met with Georgia Tech Coach Paul Johnson. "He extended an offer to me and that made my day right there. I have several other offers but having one from Georgia Tech is special."
Darius feels that the offer from Tech puts them at the top of his list with Penn State. "Those are my top two teams. I really like both of them."
Tech has several players from Good Counsel and that will be a plus for them. Darius knows several of them even though they are a few years ahead of him. "Knowing that if I went to Georgia Tech, I would have some friends from my home area is a huge plus."
Prior to the Tech visit, Darius had taken visits to Penn State, Tennessee, Virginia Tech, North Carolina State, and Ohio State. "I have to say the ones to Georgia Tech and Penn State are the ones that stand out to me, especially Georgia Tech."
Right now, a summer decision is in the works for Fullwood. "I want to have my decison done and then I can concentrate on my season. Fullwood plans to use what coach Johnson told him as a guide. "I want to make sure of where I want to go and then commit. I am committing to the school just as the school is committing to me. It will be done once I make a decision."
