Andrew Marshall has long been a target for Coach Johnson and Georgia Tech for their offensive line. Marshall performed extremely well at the Tech camp and committed in early September to Georgia Tech. Since then, Andrew has been solid in his commitment to Georgia Tech.
Marshall is scheduled to make his official visit to Georgia Tech the weekend of January 17th.. ‘I am looking forward to seeing some of the guys I got to know at camp." Georgia Tech commit Trey Klock will be one of the recruits joining Marshall on the visit. "There might be a couple of players still looking for schools visiting that weekend."
Nothing has changed for Andrew since he committed to Tech. "I love the school and what it represents." Andrew knows Tech will be losing some offensive linemen and he hopes top come in and compete for playing time. "If I had to redshirt I would understand."
Andrew knows some of the benefits of taking a redshirt year. He knows he could get a year of school under his belt before he plays. "You can also use that year to hit the weight room to get stronger and work on conditioning."
Another reason Andrew chose Georgia Tech is the location. "I have my sister living near the school. When we went to games we stayed with her and it was only about a 15-20 minute walk to the stadium. I love having family close to me." Center will be where Andrew starts out but there is also the possibility he could play guard. "I've played center the most and I like it but I'll play wherever Coach Johnson feels is best for me and the team."
Any school contacting Marshall is being told that he is going to Georgia Tech. "I know it is the right place for me and I am solid to Georgia Tech."
With less than a month to go in the recruiting process, Marshall doesn't see how any school could come in and convince him to change his mind. "I really am very happy with my decision and I can't see myself anywhere else. I feel it was the perfect fit and I was meant to go there."
