Ryslik is getting attention from schools in the South as well as other schools. " Schools like Notre Dame, Stanford, Auburn, Georgia Tech, Duke, Georgia, and several others have already been recruiting me."
Georgia Tech and Coach Bryan Cook started recruiting Ryslik prior to the current dead period. Coach Cook invited David to Atlanta for a visit. "He said that players like me are the type they are looking for to continue building their program."
Ryslik has started planning to make that visit to Atlanta. Ryslik plans to work the visit in along with a trip to see his dad in Miami. "Georgia Tech is one school I am very interested in and like a lot. Stanford and Duke are two other schools that are getting David's attention.
"I like city schools a lot and one thing that Georgia Tech has over the others is that it is in a big city." David also likes the fact that the campus allows him to get away from the city feel. "I like that combination."
David also understands that you need a good education in case the NFL is not in his future. "Georgia Tech offers some of the best degrees around." A short flight to Atlanta is also a plus for Ryslik. David has noticed that Georgia Tech has always maintained a presence in his area. "Everyone knows about them and I love the fact that they come up here on a regular basis."
When we talked to David, he was sending e-mails to Coach Cook and other coaches to set up his visits. "Coach Cook was first on my list."
The 6'4"-285 Ryslik is being recruited as a defensive tackle by the schools that use a 4-3 defense. "When they drop into a coverage type scheme, I was told I would or could be moved out to end. The 3-4 schools are looking at David as a defensive end.
Location will not be a factor in David's decision. He doesn't mind leaving the area where he currently lives. "The setting will be the most important thing to me. I mean I will be there for 4 to 5 years and I want a place I like and feel comfortable.
