The recruitment of Jacksonville, Florida Bishop Kenny offensive lineman Tyler Jordan is starting to pick up steam. The 6'4-270 junior now has six offers after picking up two new ones this week.
In addition to the six offers, Jordan feels that there are other schools that are close to offering. "I think I am doing well. So far, I am enjoying the process and like talking to the coaches and seeing what they have to say."
The most recent offer for Jordan came from Georgia Tech and Coach Lamar Owens. Tech has Jordan high on their wish list. "Coach Owens also invited me up for a visit." Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, Miami, and Bucknell are the other schools that have offered Jordan.
Tyler plans to take the visit to Tech. He has taken several visits to Tech and enjoyed each visit. The facilities and the campus were two things that caught Tyler's eye. "I also really like talking to the coaches."
It's too early for Tyler to name a leader. He's looking to keep his options open as long as possible before naming leaders. Stanford and North Carolina are the two schools that Tyler feels are recruiting him the hardest right now.
In addition to talking to Coach Owens at Tech, Tyler also talks with offensive line coach Mike Sewak. "Coach Sewak is saying that with my build I could play anywhere on the line for them." Most schools feel that Jordan is a guard but he could also grow into a tackle.
Jordan is ready to begin a tour through schools in the Carolinas. "This Friday we'll be at Wake Forest and on Saturday we'll be at North Carolina and North Carolina State. Sunday we'll conclude our trip with a stop in South Carolina to check out the school there."
Tyler hopes to make a college decision before the start of his senior season. "I want to enjoy my senior year and I want to have my decision made to be able to do that."
