Tallahassee Lincoln High School (FL) offensive lineman Tarrick Thomas is starting to see his recruitment pick up. The three star recruit has received three new offers and more are expected to come his way.
Now that signing day has come and gone, Thomas and his coach are starting to get requests for his film and transcripts. " I look at that as a good sign that my recruitment is off to a very good start."
Georgia Tech, South Florida, and UNC-Charlotte are the three schools that have offered Tarrick this week. The first offer for Thomas came from South Florida. "The coaches from Georgia Tech told my coach they really like what they have seen of me and that I would be an excellent addition to their offensive line."Tarrick likes all four schools but he would like to go to school out of state but not too far from home. "Some schools would be more attractive than others."
Georgia Tech is one of those schools. "They are a perfect fit distance wise and they have the type of major I'd like." Tarrick would like to get into the medical field. "I understand that you can get a good education from Tech and take some classes over at Emory. That's a big plus."
Don't look for Thomas to make an early decision on which school he'll attend. Thomas doesn't want to rush into a decision. "I want to have all the best info I can about each school I'm considering."
Tarrick has yet to schedule any Junior Days visits. He does know that he would like to attend one of the Junior Days at Georgia Tech. "We stopped there as a team last year and I was invited to a few games last year."
Thomas is looking to find out more info on Tech and hopes to learn more about the campus. "I'm not a big city type person but I can adapt and I understand that once you set foot on campus it doesn't feel like you are in a big city. I'd like to check that out."
A lot of players have traits of their game they feel they do better than other parts and and Tarrick is no different.
"To me I am a very good pass blocker and do a good job at run blocking too. I am just better at pass blocking. However, one thing I really want to improve on is making sure I finish my blocks and get to the next level."
