Timmons received his first offer from Georgia Tech. "I was very excited when my coach told me that Georgia Tech came by the school and extended an offer to me. It is a great feeling to get that first offer and it will be one that holds a special meaning in my recruitment."
The excitment of receiving the first offer was shared by his family. "They were all excited for me and jumping up and down." Devin's family couldn't believe that a prestigious school like Georgia Tech was his first offer. The offer will be one that should keep Tech in the picture. "They will be there until the very end."v A visit or visits to Tech could be in the works for Devin. "I hope I can come to their Junior Day or maybe visit a practice or their spring game." Devin definitely plans to be in Atlanta sometime this spring.
Since the end of football season, Devin has been concentrating on off-season workouts and track. He has not paid much attention to recruiting. "We have been letting our head coach handle a lot of what comes through. I need to get with him and talk to him about all the schools that are recruiting me."
Devin has also been concentrating on his academics. "I make sure I am on top of my academics." Once things settle down, Devin will start figuring out which schools beside Georgia Tech are showing interest in him. A summer college decision is in the plans for Devin right now. "I want to have my senior year free from recruiting so I can enjoy it."
