"I had a great time and got to see up close what it is like to be a college football player." Timmons met with the coaches and had a chance to listen to current players Jamal Golden and Zach Laskey about their schedules and how much Georgia Tech has afforded them with the education they are getting. "I loved listening to them."
Timmons met with Georgia Tech coaches Ted Roof and Andy McCollum on his visit. "Both talked to me about what they expect out of me if I came to Tech." The coaches feel Timmons would fit at any of the linebacker spots. Last year was the first year that Timmons primarily played defense. "Both coaches had me fired up about coming to Georgia Tech."
The possibility of committing on the visit did cross Devin's mind. "I feel I need to make some more visits and I want to make a return trip to Georgia Tech in April on my spring break. My mom will come with me then." Devin felt at home on the visit and that is when the thoughts of committing crossed his mind.
Devin's mom shares the same feelings about Tech. "She has tried to get me to commit. She feels Georgia Tech offers me the best in academics while still playing football at a great school." His mom loves the tutoring system and the fact she would be able to make it to the home games. "Mom in squarely in Georgia Tech's corner in my recruitment."
There is the possibility that Devin could commit on his next visit. This will be a greater possibility if he's had a chance to visit other schools before the visit. Devin's high school coach also feels that Coach Paul Johnson would be a good fit for Devin. Devin is in his high school Navy ROTC program and his coach knows Coach Johnsons connection to Navy.
Devin talked to Coach Dave Walkosky about the visit and the plan will be for Devin to visit during spring break. "He says he will also be down in May to see my spring practice."
